Businessman Raj Kundra is fully prepared to begin his acting career with this film. During the grand trailer launch event, Raj discussed his wife and actress Shilpa Shetty's reaction to his acting debut.


Raj Kundra about Shilpa Shetty's Response to 'UT69':

Raj Kundra will be seen in the upcoming film 'UT69.' The film uncovers a businessperson's journey through a prison, where he spent almost two months in 2021.

Speaking to News18 during the 'UT69' trailer launch, Raj shared his thoughts on Shilpa's reaction to his acting debut. ""She was a couple of feet from me when I chose to tell her that I'm making a film," he added. I refrained from approaching her too closely (laughs)."

He went on to say that her initial reaction wasn't very positive. "I told her I had a script, and I was waiting for her response. When I distanced myself from her, a flying slipper hit my face. I suppose she thought I was a little nut at first. Perhaps she thought the film wouldn't be made," he revealed.



Raj then explained how Shilpa became reassured about the film. "I then instructed Shahnavaz, the director, to go and give her an explanation." He gave her a very brief description. She thought about it and felt it wasn't against the system in any way. She realized it was a very humane story. She was very supportive. She asked me, 'Can you act? I told her I could because I have learned some methods of acting in jail," the businessman said. He also shared that he is very proud of her.

About 'UT69':

To recall, Raj Kundra was arrested as the main accused in a pornography film case in July 2021.In 'UT69,' Raj Kundra plays the lead role, and the film will narrate his time spent in Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail. November 3rd is when the movie is scheduled to open in theaters.
