Notably, Babar has become the fastest to score 5,000 ODI runs, surpassing Kohli's record.






Comparing their performances, Kohli has a higher batting average, but Babar has a better strike rate. The thing to note is that Kohli has played more than twice as many matches as Babar, due to which there may be some difference in his figures.


Talking about star cricketers, Ian Bishop of Star Sports has praised Babar as a champion batsman and believes that he is currently at the forefront of batting skills. Bishop also expressed confidence that Babar will perform well against Sri Lanka in the upcoming series.


“So, how central is Babar Azam to this Pakistani lineup, and I believe he will take charge in this shootout, not only because he is the captain, but because he is the leader of that batting unit in terms of talent. It Is the perfect center."
